Studio Act: Surrealist Technique

1.How do I feel about the overall studio work?

Definitely feel that is is experimental, not something I would use in my portfolio. I don't necessarily like how it turned out composition wise, but I'm happy with how I incorporated the theme of fearing disease.

2.What difficulties did you encounter?

It was difficult not having time to get my ideas organized in my head beforehand.

3. How did you overcome these difficulties?

I reminded myself that the purpose of the project was to experiment and not think too much.

4. What would you do differently?

I would plan out the composition and not have a bold black line for the heads.

Top Secret Plan

My work will be about the human mind: what we think, feel, and see (real or not). Overall, psychological and philosophical themes will be apparent in my art with an emphasis in dream-like images to display inner thoughts.

I plan to have personal and social themes using a combination of representational and non-representational.

I also plan to incorporate juxtaposition:
-abstract and realistic images to show reality vs. dreams or the inner thoughts of the human mind (because sometimes our mind plays tricks on us)
